The people at the door
Each shift has its own lead teacher, and the director walks every room at both handoffs.
Director
Elieser runs Honeybun with the human resources teams at our partner plants and walks every room at both shift changes. He speaks Spanish and English with families. Ask him anything about how a plant's schedule and a child's room fit together, and he will draw it out on paper at the tour.
First-shift lead teacher
Zaynab opens the doors at 5:00 a.m. and leads the first-shift teachers, from breakfast through the afternoon handoff. She greets every first-shift family at the room door, and she is the teacher to ask about a baby's first weeks.
Second-shift lead teacher
Jiahao leads the second-shift teachers, from the afternoon handoff through supper and the quiet hour to the last pickup at 11:30 p.m. He is the person to ask about supper, the quiet hour and what a late shift looks like for a child.
Come at shift change and both lead teachers are in the rooms.
